Mood Board This is my mood board, as you can see there are some artist from the genre I have chosen. There are also some of the instruments that are used in folk rock music. This mood board will allow me to know what i will need to create a successful folk music video.

An example of Illustration would be the music video Friday by Rebecca Black, this is a good example as when she is singing we see a shot of the lyric, when she says "wake up at 7:00 am" we see an alarm clock showing 7:00 am. Another example in this video is when she sings bus stop we see the bus stop sign, there are many more examples in this video.

Foo Fighters Learn Too Fly is a good example for Amplification as the whole band dress up as different character and sing there song. They are in role as different characters on this plane singing there song.

 
As you can see the characters take on many roles such as pilots, passengers etc. They make the roles comical so the audience know it is them and the audience can have laugh at them.

An example of Disjunction is Katy Perry Last Friday Night, in this video we see Katy take on a new role, she dresses differently to how her fans would expect her to. In this video Katy can use this technique because everyone knows who she is and what she looks like, so when we see her like this we are shocked, but if they didn't know who she was it wouldn't have had the same effect because the audience wouldn't of known what she normally looked like.

12. Low Budget Ideas

From Watching these two music videos I have learn't that if you are filming a fast paced music video of any genre then you need to have fast paced editing which matches the beat of the of the music itself. This will help your video look like a professional video.

I know that the location and costumes you use have to be chosen with great care, as in "Just Got Paid" if they didn't wear suits and fashionable clothes the video wouldn't have been so successful. Also with this video the locations are key with the studio and nice house as it makes it seem like a real boy band music video.

There are a lot of camera shots and angles used in both of these videos, from extreme close ups to extreme long shots. This is key because it keeps the audience entertained, because if they were seeing the same five shots over and over again they would get bored easy, also what happens in the shots changes which is also key.

In the "Ah-Ha" music video colours are key, the reds and blacks used really make the video seem professional and were filmed. It makes the audience entertained, and the colours help tell the audience what type of genre the music video is.

Close-ups- Are used to show facial expressions and to show the lip syncing.



Mid-shots- Are used to show some lip syncing but mainly to show action.




Long-shots- Shows action and they story line of the video.


Extreme-long-shots- Show the location of the video.


Lip-Syncing- This is used to show the audience that the artist is singing the song in the video.


Effects- These are used to make the video interesting.
Montage-Editing- This is used to show a long period of time in only a few minutes or seconds.
Continuity-Editing- This is used to show the audience the story line.

Camera-angles- These are used to help show status and it makes the video interesting.

Camera-Movements- These help the video entertain the audience.

Props- These are used to entertain the audience but also instruments are used to play the song.
Costumes- These help the story line progress and makes the situation clearer for the audience.



Lighting- This is used to help set the mood or help show what is happening in the scene.
