Q4) How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
Below is a screen cast of me using some of the different technologies that I talk about above. It starts with me showing you what blogger is capable of. I run through how to make a post and how to add in pictures. I also then show you how to delete the post. I then move on to using Google maps. This again is just a short demonstration showing you how I looked at some of my locations. In the video I search for Brick Lane which is a location I have used in my music video. Next I go on to YouTube, this allowed me to embed my music video on to my blog and watch existing music video to look at the conventions. In the video below I show you how to embed the video on to blogger. Finally I show me using the Da Font website which allows me to choose a text that I want to use and then download this and use it on CD cover and my advertisement.

Q2) How effective is the combination of your main product and your ancillary texts?
As you can see with the screen grabs from my music they also link with my Cd cover and my advertisement. The clothing that I have used is the same through out my music video and in my advert and Cd cover. I chose to use this clothing because when I did my research this indie clothing was a convetion from the genre folk rock. I used the guitar as well in both my Cd cover and my music video, this was because from when watching real media texts guitars were seen through out. I chose to keep the convention of having the guitar as it allows the audience to recognize the genre easily.
Below is a short video that shows part of my music video next to my Cd cover and my advertisement. I then talk through some of the similarities that my music video and my ancillary products have in common.
Q1) In what ways does your media product use, develop and challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
Here is my my Cd cover as you can see there are six different pictures to it, with the bottom right being the front and the bottom middle being the back to it.
There are a lot of similar conventions to mine and professional Cd covers, I have met some of these conventions but at the same time I have challenge the conventions so that I can make my Cd cover stand out from the rest.
As you can see with my front cover and James Blunts front cover, they are quite similar as they both show the artist. I have challenge the way the writing is placed. I have placed the name of the artist in top left which is more out of the way but put the name of the album in the bottom left which will draw the eye of the audience. As this isn't the artist first album he is already know and people don't need to see his name with his face as they already know who he is. James Blunt has used a black and white effect but I have tried to keep my front cover as simple as possible. I have also used a background unlike James Blunt, I feel that a background helps give the front cover a purpose as it tries to show people the type of areas that you would expect to see this artist.
