In The Sun Remake
Here is our edited version of in the sun.
What we did when filming to make it easier to edit:
We played the music when dancing so that they dancers new the beat and so that they didn't look out of time.
This also allowed the singers to lip sync, this made it easier to edit because we could sync the sound track with there lips to make it seem like they are singing.
We used the fig rig on moving shots to make them smoother and seem more professional, this made it easier to edit like the real video as the shots were all smooth.
We also filmed every shot two or three times so that we had a choice when editing, this made it easier because when editing we had that choice to choice the best one.
What we did when filming to make it harder to edit:
We never watched any of the shots back, which meant that we didn't actually know if they worked well, this meant that during editing if the shots didn't work it was too late to re-film them.
This also meant we couldn't see if the lip syncing was clear, we found it difficult to sync the music and the lp syncing together as it wasn't that clear.
When dancing in the library there was limited space and we thought that we had nailed the dance but when editing we could see that some of the dance moves were a little slow and small.
Sometimes when we played the music it wasn't at the right time which meant that some of the dancing was a little bit out of time, this made it difficult to edit.
Www:
Overall our music video looked very similar to the orginal.
We got all the shots filmed and to the same length as the orginal.
We filmed our shots to a good standard and they looked good once edited together.
Overall the dancers were in time did all the dance moves correctly and to time.
EBI:
When the singers sing they don't exaggerate their lips enough to show us that they are singing.
There were a small amount of shots that weren't great as heads and actors were cut off/out.
Some shots lasted too long or not enough which mant we had to find time and lose time when editing.
Due to the lack of space in the library it meant that the dancers had to make the moves smaller and less exaggerated.
